Straight outta Boca Raton, Florida, Dashboard Confessional has been tugging at heartstrings since 1999. Led by the ultimate emo poster boy, Christopher Carrabba, this band started as a one-man acoustic act pouring out raw, soul-baring emotions 🌧️💔. The name itself came from a lyric in “The Sharp Hint of New Tears” (all the feels, right?). By 2001, Carrabba evolved Dashboard into a full-fledged band, becoming the face of the rejuvenated emo movement. Their peak? Absolute bangers like "Vindicated" (Spider-Man 2 vibes 🕷️), "Hands Down", "Screaming Infidelities", and "Stolen", which defined the early 2000s. After dominating the scene with A Mark, A Mission, A Brand, A Scar (2003) and Dusk and Summer (2006), they stepped back—only to roar back in 2018 with Crooked Shadows and hit us again with 2022’s introspective All the Truth That I Can Tell.
