See all- Atlanta Jazz Festival - Let's Meet Up!Piedmont Park , Atlanta, GA
UPDATED 5.21.25
Hi Ladies!
I’m so excited that so many are joining us for this Saturday’s Atlanta Jazz Festival Meetup! Here's everything you need to know to make the most of this joyful day:### Meetup Details
- Date: Saturday, May 24
- Time: I’ll be there by 10:15 AM and plan to stay until that evening (note I may leave before the last act at 9 PM)
- Location: Piedmont Park (enter at 10th Street & Charles Allen)
- Meeting Spot: Last year we set up not far from the Charles Allen entrance, near the restrooms on the outer perimeter. I'll do my best to get that same area. IF I HAVE TO SET UP IN A DIFFERENT AREA, I WILL SEND A TEXT AROUND 10:30 AM TO ALL WHO RSVP'D BY FRIDAY. (If I don't text it means I've secured the location referenced above.)
- I’ll mark our spot with blue and orange balloons to make it easier to find.
***
### Want to Enter Together?
- Meet me at the 10th & Charles Allen entrance at 10:15 AM if you’d like to walk in together.
- Please text me at 404-434-9192 to let me know you're planning to meet up at 10:15. . . . If not, I'll keep an eye on my TEXTS for those who arrive later. Please do not message in MEETUP, as the APP doesn't always update quickly.
***
### What to Bring
- Chair or blanket
- Your own food and drinks
- Sunscreen, cool clothes, and comfy shoes
- Optional: a small game or card deck if you’d like to spark some connection fun!
- I’m hoping to bring a small tent for shade, but everyone will need their own seating.
***
### Transportation & Parking Tips
- Plan ahead for parking or drop-off! Traffic can be crazy and residential parking is now restricted.
- Reserve parking early at SpotHero.com
- Use MARTA – You can walk from the Midtown station which is four blocks away from the outer edge of the park (note walking across the park is a bit of a hike) . . . or Uber from the MARTA station
- Have someone drop you off at 10th & Charles Allen
Parking gets really tough later in the day—the earlier, the better!
***
### Stay Connected
- Sometimes the Meetup app doesn’t update well, so text me directly if you need help finding us:

#YouAreNotAlone - The Book That’s Healing Hearts Everywhere — Be Part of the ConversationNeeds location
You're invited to join YANASISTERS across the U.S. for a special Book Club session featuring The Book of Alchemy by Suleika Jaouad — author, artist, and wife of musician Jon Batiste.
This gathering will be a little different as we reflect on love, loss, creativity, and the power of storytelling to heal and inspire.
✨ “From the time she was young, Suleika Jaouad has kept a journal… It has buoyed her through illness, heartbreak, and the deepest uncertainty. And she is not alone...” ✨
In this beautiful guide, Suleika shares essays, prompts, and reflections from over 100 creatives—all designed to help you reconnect with your inner voice and rediscover your most inspired self.
Whether you journal every day or haven’t picked up a pen in years, this experience is for you. Bring your book, your favorite journal, a quiet space—and come ready to reflect, release, and reconnect.
NOTE: To join the book club:
- Download the Mighty Networks app before the event.
- Once in the app, go to Book Club > Events to access the discussion.
Joining the app not only gives you access to every session—it ensures you’ll receive invites to our quarterly gatherings.
No pressure, though—this is a low-key, come-as-you-are book club. 💛

Retreat Details:
Nestled in the tranquil embrace of the North Georgia mountains, the YANA (You Are Not Alone) Retreat invites women to rediscover themselves in an enchanted setting. Guided by Connection Coach Imani Monica McCullough, the retreat is dedicated to establishing a safe haven for self-exploration, story-sharing, and mutual support that will leave you revitalized, transformed, and with connections that will uplift you during the retreat and beyond.Unlike most conventional retreats, we understand that a one-size-fits-all approach doesn’t work. As such, before the retreat you will be invited to complete a comprehensive survey that empowers our team to create an individualized agenda just for you. Once on-site, your personalized retreat journey will guide you through a series of immersive workshops, therapeutic sessions, and introspective individual exercises that will create space for you to REMEMBER who you are, allowing you to leave the retreat armed with a profound (re)connection to your authentic self.
