In this session, we’ll explore how to design and operationalise a robust deployment workflow for Fabric assets using Azure DevOps, the Microsoft Fabric REST API and native deployment pipelines.

Scaling Azure: Lessons learned scaling to millions of MAUs
Plexure, a New Zealand-based SaaS company, powers McDonald’s global marketing and loyalty platform—most famously through the “Macca’s App,” used in 65 countries globally, including New Zealand. In this talk, we’ll share our Azure journey: from a monolithic stack and single-datacentre deployment to a zone-redundant and multi-region architecture. You’ll hear key lessons learned from scaling to millions of monthly active users, including architectural pivots, operational challenges, and the strategies that helped us stay resilient and performant at global scale.
Daniel Larsen is a Principal Cloud Architect at Plexure. He specialises in large and complex deployments with high availability and resiliency requirements. A strong advocate and ally for diversity and inclusion in Technology companies, with a focus on Te Tiriti o Waitangi and true partnership with Māori.
Victor Worapon Viriya-ampanond is a Cloud Architect at Plexure. He is a DevOps practitioner and a technical speaker across multiple disciplines, from software development to cloud architecture.
