Blue Mountains Adventure! Springwood to Lost World Returning via Martins Lookout

This walk takes in the sights of fantastic Blue Mountains valleys. The walk uses the gullies to navigate past some wonderful rock features, dense bushland and scenic lookouts.
We will start at Springwood Town Square (on Macquarie Road) at 9.30am (train leaves Central at 7.54 from Platform 5 and arrives at Springwood at 9.15am). There are toilets in the car park opposite.
From here we descend gently to Glenbrook Creek using Fairy Dell and Victory Tracks while visiting a series of waterfalls and waterholes, where we will have a break.
Then we will walk further along Glenbrook Creek, cross it and make our way up the first 200+m climb to Buyan Lookout and then a further 20 mins walk to the Lost World Lookout where we will have lunch.
After lunch we descend (200m) back down to Glenbrook Creek and make our way up the second 200+m climb to Martin’s Lookout where we will have a break.
From here it is a 60-70 mins walk back to Springwood.
We will aim to return to Springwood by 4.15pm (train leaves for Central at 4.18pm).

DISTANCE: About 18 kms.
GRADE: Hard, due to no water refills and a couple of significant (200+m) climbs.
NOTE: No get out points (until we get to Martin’s Lookout from where you might be able to call an Uber).
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
· Be Prepared: Wear comfortable hiking shoes, bring 2-3 LITRES of water (no refill points available) and dress for the weather.
· Follow Instructions: Please follow the instructions of the Host at all times and keep the Host within sight.
· Being a National Park, we leave nothing behind (even if its organic!) and take nothing with us when we leave.
· RSVP Responsibly and Be Ontime at the Designated Meeting Point: Update your RSVP if you can’t make it.
