Waterfalls Lovers Heaven! South and North Lawson Waterfall Circuits in One Day.

Details

Be prepared for incredible waterfalls one after the other for the entire day!

Pre-lunch:
We will meet at Lawson Town Square, near the train station at 9.15am (train from Central arrives at 9.07am). I will probably be outside the Black Cockatoo Bakery having breakfast with an awesome array of tasty pastries.
Then, we will walk down to the South Lawson Waterfall trailhead.
This circuit runs along freshwater creeks and visits Adeline Falls, Junction Falls, Federal Falls and Cataract Falls. It is graded as easy to moderate with uneven surfaces and some steep sections. It's advisable to wear proper hiking shoes for your own safety. Part of the trail could be muddy.
After we complete this circuit, we will return to Lawson Town Square for lunch (yes, which I will be doing at the Black Cockatoo Bakery with more pastries, where else? There are also other options with cafes, etc).
There is the opportunity to exit the walk here for those that have had enough.

Post-lunch:
We will walk to the North Lawson Waterfall trailhead to explore the waterfalls of the Empire Pass.
This circuit runs through temperate rainforests and visits Fairy Falls, Dantes Glen and St Michaels Falls. Then we walk up to recently upgraded Empire Pass Walking Track towards the swampy area and bushland. We then continue to Frederica Falls and lookout. Then head back to Lawson station after a fun day out.
It's advisable to wear proper hiking shoes for your own safety. Although there are no severe climbs or descents, there is the possibility of a few “interesting” creek crossings, especially after rain.
We will aim to finish by 4.00pm at Lawson Train Station, from which we can catch a train back to Sydney.
