Woy Woy to Blackwall Mountain, Easy, 11km Return

Despite being a short and easy walk, this 11km return hike takes in some excellent scenery along the Woy Woy waterfront and features great views from the top of Blackwall Mountain.

The plan is to meet at Woy Woy Wharf at 9.15AM on Saturday 12 July, the last train to make the meeting point is the 7.42AM Central to Wyong train arriving at Woy Woy Station at 9.02AM. If you want to get a coffee or go to the toilet in Woy Woy before the walk starts it is suggested you get an earlier train to Woy Woy as I would like to start walking at 9.15AM.

We will setoff along the waterfront to Lions Park and then continue past the Pelican Spot before making the slightly more difficult ascent of Blackwall Mountain. There are several great lookout spots on Blackwall Mountain that give outstanding vistas over Brisbane Water and Broken Bay. We will then return the same way to Woy Woy with an ETA of approximately 1.15PM which will allow an early return home or a lunch and beverage at Woy Woy for those wishing to stay longer.

For this walk you will need good walking shoes and one litre of water.

There is a $5 gratuity payable at the commencement of the meetup.
