Hawkesbury River(Brooklyn) to Berowra via Jerusalem Bay( Est 28km, Hard)

Join us for a spectacular 28km journey from Brooklyn on the Hawkesbury River to Berowra, venturing through the stunning landscapes of Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park and Berowra Waters. This isn't just a walk; it's an immersive experience that's definitely "hard" but incredibly rewarding!
Our adventure kicks off on a section of the iconic Great North Walk. Right from the start, you'll be treated to incredible views of the Hawkesbury River as the trail skirts along scenic ridges.
As we make our way towards Cowan, the scenery just keeps getting better. You'll be rewarded with expansive vistas of Cowan Creek and the picturesque Jerusalem Bay. From here, we'll continue to explore the intricate network of ridges, valleys, and creeks that define the Berowra Waters section of the Great North Walk. Prepare for some decent climbs in this challenging stretch, but the effort is well worth it, especially when we reach Naa Badu Lookout for excellent valley views.
We'll even make a brief stop at the Berowra Waters ferry wharf – a perfect spot for a quick breather and to soak in the atmosphere. Our fantastic journey concludes at Berowra Station by approximately 4:30 PM, leaving you with plenty of time to relax after a day of incredible accomplishment.
This hike is perfect for experienced walkers looking for a serious challenge and a truly immersive nature experience.

TRANSPORT: T1/CCN , meet at Hawkesbury Train station (Check Opal Trip Planner for updates).

BRING 2~3 litres of water, hydrate tablets, snacks & lunch, sun protection, first aid kit, rain gear, hiking shoes.

GRATUITY: There will be a $10 gratuity for this walk in cash. All proceedings go to Charity.

Fast Pace: 4.5km/hr on average

SAFETY WARNING: Please stay away from cliff edges and be very careful when walking on wet and slippery rocks and surfaces. Please stay within sight of the group at all times.
