Wolli Creek to Marrickville, riverside walk and Vietnamese street food.
I often get a craving for Vietnamese food after living there for about 3 and a half years so this Sunday I am planning a walk from Wolli Creek station to Marrickville.
From Wolli Creek train station we will cross the Cooks river and follow the river past Tempe and Mackey Park. We will continue along the river to Steel Park where we will meet up with Illawarra road and turn north for a walk into Marrickville along the footpath.
In Marrickville we will go to VN Street Foods for dinner where we can try such Vietnamese foods as - Bun Cha, Ha Noi (pictured).
After dinner we will be within about 200 metres of Marrickville station where people can either take a bus, or we can walk to the Metro at Sydenham which should take about 20 minutes (1.3km).

Distance/Grade
5km one way - EASY (Wolli Creek to Marrickville)
1.3km one way - EASY (Marrickville to Sydenham) for those who walk to Sydenham after dinner.

Transport
Wolli Creek can be accessed by car, but is best accessed by train from Central Station which will take around 20 minutes.
Parking at Wolli Creek may be limited if anyone chooses to drive, but there is often parking near Tempe.

Meeting location
We will meet outside the main entrance of the Wolli Creek Train Station and walk together from the station

• We will be walking on a shared path with pedestrians and bicycles, so please be courteous of other users.
• We will be walking along a river so be aware of flowing water.
• Please do bring a hat and sun protection that follows the weather forecast for the day.
