Great North Walk Part 4: Berowra to Brooklyn (25km, hard) ๐ฅพ ๐ โ๏ธ
Details
You wanted to do the Great North Walk?
We are continuing our way along the Great North Walk from Berowra to Brooklyn. This section is beautiful and challenging, the bush is gorgeous and the vistas on both sides of the Pacific Highway stunning.
After dropping to Berowra Waters we climb steeply back up to Cowan, before heading down the other side of the railway towards Jerusalem Creek. A few more ups and downs will bring us to Brooklyn where we can catch the train back to Sydney.
This is a hard walk, due to distance and climbs. Only sign up if you have walked this distance on easier terrain previously. You have one convenient get out point at Cowan, which is roughly halfway between Berowra and Brooklyn.
Grade: Hard due to distance and terrain.
Transport: We meet at Berowra train station at 8:40 am (the train from Central arrives at 8:35 am). Check www.transportnsw.info for latest updates.
Fee: $10 fee applies to this event which can be paid in cash on the day or PayID (0478 953 035, Markus Wagner).
Equipment: Wear sturdy shoes, bring a jacket in case the weather turns, lunch as you will not be able to pick up food en route, snacks, sun cream, a hat and plenty of water (at least 2-3 l). There are few facilities along the way. Most importantly, bring a sense of humour, adventure and fun.
Get out points: One: Cowan train station. Or, if you are willing to call an Uber, at Berowra Waters.
