Bushwalk from Waterfall to Heathcote Along Heathcote Creek!
Details
If you like bush walking along rivers and creeks, you’ll love this walk!
It’s in Heathcote National Park, on the western side of the Princess Highway (not the Royal National Park side). This side of the highway is ignored by many, not sure why. There are some terrific hiking trails and some lovely swimming holes to visit.
We will start at Waterfall Train Station at 9.15am. Meet at the Passenger Drop Off Area (turn left when you get to top of the ramp as you exit the train station if you are directionally challenged).
A train leaves Central at 8.29am and arrives at Waterfall at 9.13am. Please check your transport app closer to the day.
From here we will pick up a trail that will leads us past Lake Toolooma to the Bullawaring Track.
We will stop at Kingfisher Pool, a lovely spot with very few hikers.
From here we will continue along the Bullawarring Track making our way to the Pipeline Track before heading to Heathcote.
We will visit Mirang Pool and other spots along the way.
There are no exit points.
We will aim to finish at The Arbour for a drink (near Heathcote Train Station) by 3.00pm, maybe even earlier, before catching a train back to the city.
There are no exit points.
