This guided tour will be led by Austin Mountaineers Event Organizer Bob Schooler, who has been a docent (highly trained volunteer qualified to conduct tours) at the Wildflower Center since 2012. As this has been an unusually warm Spring, the bluebonnets should be in full bloom by late March.
$18 admission on the weekends for adults: https://www.wildflower.org/visit
Please Note: Reservations open 7 days in advance though tickets can be purchased at the entrance kiosk the day of the tour/hike.
Parking shouldn't be a problem as the heavily attended Spring Plant Sale doesn't start until the following weekend. Park in the main lots between La Crosse Ave. and the entrance kiosk to the Wildflower Center.
What to bring with you: water, sun protection and a good pair of hiking or trail running shoes. Please note that drinking fountains are on site.
How to find us: I'll be standing by the main entrance next to the entry kiosk where you can purchase your entry ticket. I plan on having an "Austin Mountaineers" sign so that it's easy to find the group.
Cancellation policy: In past years, this event was well attended. If you will not be able to make the hike, please be polite and change your RSVP to "not going" so you don't take someone else's place and so we don't wait for you at the trailhead.
Don't forget that our Austin Mountaineers store is now open if you would like to order something. 100% of the proceeds from the store go back into prizes and gifts for our group events.

Waiver: By RSVPing to this event, you are agreeing that you are taking sole responsibility for your own health and safety, as well as that of any guest you may bring. If you or your guests are unwilling to accept this responsibility, then please do not RSVP for this event.
