Join me for a beautiful summer night's picnic, friendly company and some of the capital's best musical talent at the iconic Gardens Magic Concert Series.

Tonight’s lineup promises colour, movement, and infectious energy — beginning with Madera Fina, an authentic traditional Cuban duo serving up rich, soulful rhythms, followed by Cumbiasonica, a Colombian band blending old-school cumbia roots with psychedelic twists and future-forward sounds.
Bring a picnic blanket, some tasty snacks, and settle in for a wonderful evening of music, summer vibes, and friendly people to experience it with. There's plenty of dancing for those that love to, right in front of the stage, or relax and listen from the lawn, soaking up the atmosphere and the magical transformation of the garden's light installation as darkness falls.

### AGENDA

6pm - We'll meet at the sound shell grounds to share a picnic and hang out together. I'll be there earlier to get us a good spot on the lawn in front of the stage. I'll update our position on MeetUp comments.
*Bring food to share and a rug/towel/cushion to sit on.
There is a Coffee Cart inside the entrance for hot or iced coffee, teas, chai and chocolate.

7-9pm Enjoy the concert together

*Optional Finish 9pm - This MeetUp ends at 9pm, but you have the option to self-explore the stunning lights display after dark with many others on the well-lit paths around the duck pond and the surrounding gardens.

*If it is called off for rain - the rain back-up day will be 1pm-3:15pm Sunday 25th, I will update in comments.

TRANSPORT
Public Transport to and from the gardens is very easy and is a great way to travel as finding a park can be tricky. Wellington #2 Bus Route stops on Glenmore Street right outside the entrance to the Botanical Gardens. It runs between Karori and Miramar and buses run 4x an hour after 9pm. Alternatively you could catch the Cable Car to the gardens and walk down to the Sound shell.
