Codebar Sydney: Watch and Code

Hi everyone,

We haven't run an event for a few months now. Sorry about that! We're glad we did the right thing and cancelled in-person events early but we wish we could have run more online events. The truth is we didn't really have the experience and it was more than a little stressful.

Now that we've had a break, we'd love to try and run some online events.

But we still don't know how so this is going to be a little bit different. Basically I'd like to coding with you. I'm going to build a little website from scratch using a static site generator 11ty (https://www.11ty.dev/). Depending on the audience I might get into a bit of plugin development and finally I want to share some of my approach to using CSS custom properties.

It should be fun! You can just watch or you can code along. It's going to be really informal and we're going to learn how we can run these type of events better in future.
