(just past Magnolia); turn right (north), and follow Sugarloaf Rd. for 0.9 mile to Betasso Rd. Turn right (east) on Betasso Rd., and follow it for 0.5 mile to an open gate on the left (north). Go through the gate, following the preserve road for 0.1 mile to the Canyon Loop Trail parking area. Additional parking is available 0.2 mile east of the preserve's main entrance.
Restrooms available at the trail head.
Carpooling: Arrange a carpool from your neighborhood and meet the group in the parking lot.
What else should you bring... Colorado weather changes quickly so come prepared with appropriate hiking clothing, waterproof boots, hiking poles, microspikes, snowshoes, backpack and snacks, and water. Make sure you have in your pack in case you need it - snow gear, hat, gloves, extra socks, and extra layers, etc. Make it the best experience possible by being prepared!
