Prompt Club - A Playful Drawing Meetup for All Skill Levels

Join us for a 1 hour prompted drawing/artmaking session surrounded by nature and guided by a local artist who is passionate about creativity
I invite you to this affordable excuse to get out into nature and make art that doesn't have to be good to be worth making. At Bad Art Group we care more about the process of having fun and loosening up - a vital element to any person's creative process. So, whether you are an amateur artist, not an artist at all, or a full blown professional - you will benefit from the nourishment of social safety and a natural setting within which to create new and unexpected artworks.
The prompted drawing activity will be guided by myself, Tash Stokes (local Brisbane artist) using the creative prompt cards I developed. These cards, aptly named 'Bad Art Block' are a fantastic tool to help anyone break out of their creative limitations and into the realm of the unknown!
We will use these cards to do several rounds of prompted drawings, with plenty of laughter, sharing and reflecting in between. These sessions bring a lightness to a process that is otherwise quite daunting and lonely for the aspiring creative. The social element brings a whole new dimension to what it means to be creative.
You are welcome to bring kids over 10 years old along so long as they remain under your supervision - I'm certain they will ADORE this process too. Anyone below 16 years old can come for free.

These will be recurring sessions - simply check the dates on offer.

WHAT TO BRING:

• Please bring-you-own art supplies if possible (Pencils, textas, oil pastels, crayons, paints etc.)
• I will bring some spares along just in case.
• Also consider bringing a hard surface such as a piece of cardboard or the back of a book upon which to create art as we might end up sprawled out on the grass with no hard surfaces to lean on (I might remember to bring spares just incase but don't bank on it, I'm pretty useless)
• a picnic blanket or chair
• water, sunscreen
• curiosity

Meet at the undercover section past the first playground. You can wander around looking for the Bad Art Group sign or just make loud screeching noises until I have no choice but to come find you.
