Sci-Fi Reading Series - PICK YOUR OWN BOOK (Read what you LOVE)

This is an ongoing sci-fi reading series for founders and builders who enjoy science fiction, big ideas, and reflective conversation… without the pressure of having to read the same book ahead of time.

For each session, you’re welcome to bring any sci-fi book you’re currently enjoying. You can also choose to read from a recommended pick shared by the group, but there’s no requirement to read a specific book.

This will be our simple, low pressure format:

• The first ~30 minutes are quiet, shared reading time
• The remaining ~30 minutes are open discussion

Our conversations aren’t about plot summaries or being “caught up”. We have a built-in reading time so that nobody feels like they failed to catch up on their reading.

Instead, we explore things like:

• what the book made you think about
• how it expanded your worldview
• what emotions it stirred
• what hooked you, surprised you, or brought you joy
• ideas or questions the story left you with

It’s meant to feel reflective and curious.

If you haven’t had time to read beforehand, that’s completely fine. You can read when you arrive and still participate meaningfully in the discussion.

This is intentionally a low-pressure, come-as-you-are series 🙂

Optional recommended reads:
Occasionally, the group will suggest sci-fi books for those who enjoy a shared thread. One current recommendation is Second Foundation by Isaac Asimov, part of the Foundation universe adapted into the Apple TV series Foundation.

Reading it is entirely optional.
