What we’re about
Welcome to Bay Area Hiking, Walking, Wellness Club!
Where Healthy Living Meets Lifelong Friendships and Love!
Our club is all about embracing a healthy lifestyle, nurturing a positive mindset, and reveling in the beauty of nature. If you're someone who enjoys Green Exercise outdoor workouts, and can hike/walk 5-8 miles without health issues (do consult your personal physician), we invite you to join us.
Here's what makes us special:
*Transformative Events: Our club events bring people together, fostering new friendships and even sparking love stories. The benefits are profound, including better health, reduced stress, and the end of isolation.
*Safety First: Your well-being is our top priority. We strictly follow CDC guidelines and protocols. If you're feeling unwell, we kindly ask you to wait until you're better to join us.
For everyone's safety and convenience, we encourage carpooling among those who know each other well.
*Stunning Locations: We're fortunate living in the bay area to have shaded forests, mountain trails, and beach walks with amazing ocean sunsets nearby. Your suggestions for new areas to explore are always welcome.
*Convenient Scheduling: Enjoy our thoughtfully scheduled events, mostly in the late morning, afternoon, and evenings, to fit your personal schedule. Allowing you to get your beauty sleep, and even your morning 'errands' are merely a stylish sprint to fetch that perfect breakfast or cup of coffee.
*Inclusivity: Whether you're reuniting with old friends or looking to meet new people while exercising outdoors, you'll find a warm and welcoming community here.
**How does nature nurture the brain? **After a 60-minute walk in nature, activity in brain regions involved in stress processing decreases...
Mental health prescription: Nature
Being in nature can boost your mood and improve mental health. Spending quality time in the great outdoors reduces stress, calms anxiety, and can lead to a lower risk of depression, according to a study done by researchers at Stanford University. In addition to having mental health benefits, being outdoors opens up your senses to your surroundings and improves your sensory perception. Taking in the sights, smells, and feelings of nature has so many health benefits it can even be prescribed by a doctor.
Our Club events have a very positive impact on people's lives, people meet, fall in love💘 meet new friends, HAPPY, better health, less stress, anxiety, depression, isolate being alone and got extra bonus for LOVE 💞
*Note: We appreciate your support to keep our club thriving. Your donation/contribution helps cover our costs and enhance our meetups.
A small event fee helps cover organizing costs, including planning, permits, and many other expenses that go into making these events happen. A lot of time and effort goes into researching trails, securing permits, and managing unexpected challenges. Your support helps keep these adventures going—thank you for being part of the journey!
*When you attend our group events, implied consent is assumed for photography. If you prefer not to be photographed, please feel free to let people know.
Join us and be part of a community that not only promotes wellness but also nurtures lifelong friendships and, in some cases, love stories. We look forward to meeting you and making lasting memories together!
🌿 A Friendly Reminder from Your Host 🌿
Hi Everyone!
Just a quick note as we continue enjoying hikes, nature, and meals together as a community. These events are organized voluntarily, with a lot of care and heart — and I'm truly happy to see so many of you return and bring great energy to the group!
💡Please remember: Participation is completely voluntary.
🥾Trails are part of Mother Nature — sometimes rocky, sometimes windy, always full of surprises. 😊
🍲🍜Dinner spots are chosen for convenience and availability. Everyone’s taste is different, so please come with an open mind.
📵Phone service can be unreliable at trailheads, so double-check directions and arrive early if possible.
✨ I kindly ask everyone to bring a positive attitude, patience, and flexibility. Not everything will go perfectly — and that’s okay. What matters most is the shared experience, wellness, fresh air, and kindness to one another.
Thank you for being here and helping create a warm, kind and respectful community🌷
Let’s continue building a respectful and positive space for all 🌿

💚Green Exercise Easy 3.8 miles or 7 miles Hike 🥾Pacifica Montara 🏖️
Gray Whale Cove Trail Parking, Pacific Coast Hwy, Pacifica, CA, USHello Ocean Lovers, Let's meet new friends go for a Green Exercise Wellness Hike by the Montara State Beach enjoy Ocean air and Healing Sea for our physical Health and Mental well-being😇
Old Colma Road Loop: This loop covers a variety of historical paths. As you leave the lot and head through the gate north, you pass through a long straight road corridor. This was cut by the Ocean Shore Railroad (1908-1920) for its rail line...
On the way you will first pass a building that was originally built as part of a WW2 military station used to observe potential enemies off the coast. Bear left at this point and slowly climb Old Colma. You will come across a very steep portion created by fill from the nearby tunnel's construction before stepping back down to the original road...
Devil's Slide is a name given to a steep, rocky coastal promontory located about midway between Montara and the Linda Mar District of Pacifica.
Devil's Slide Bunker: The graffiti-covered remnants of a former triangulation station are balanced precariously on this California peak.
HIGH ATOP CALIFORNIA’S COASTAL PEAK known colorfully as Devil’s Slide are the crumbling remains of a squat cement building that looks as though it is about to tip off the edge of the summit and slide into the sea.
The bunker on Devil’s Peak was originally built during World War II as a triangulation and observing station and was once simply a piece of a much bigger set of buildings and facilities...was abandoned in 1949, leaving an empty bunker atop Devil’s Slide.
Devil’s Slide Trail is a segment of the California Coastal Trail, a trail that, when finished, will extend 1,200 miles from Oregon to Mexico, connecting travelers to California's varied Oceanside landscapes.
Devil’s Slide Trail is a multi-use trail, converted from a former segment of Highway 1, that gives hikers, runners, bicyclists and equestrians access the rocky heights of Devil’s Slide above the Pacific Ocean. At provided overlooks, trail users may rest on benches and gaze through observation scopes and take in the view of the rocky coastal waters below. Interpretive signs are placed at key points along the trail and describe the history, geography and the marine and avian communities that live and migrate here.

We’ll begin the day with a peaceful drive to American Canyon, widely known as the “Gateway to Napa Valley.”
✨ Fun Facts About American Canyon:
It welcomes visitors into the world-famous Napa Valley region.
It is one of California’s newer cities, incorporated on January 1, 1992.
Before incorporation, the area was known as Napa Junction.
We’ll enjoy a nice lunch here to fuel up before our afternoon adventure. 🍽️
🚗 1. 9:30am start Morning Road Trip to American Canyon + Lunch
A "Gateway" City: American Canyon is widely known by its official nickname, the "Gateway to the Napa Valley," as it serves as the San Francisco Bay Area's entry point to the renowned wine region.
A New City: The city is one of California's newer incorporated cities, officially establishing its city status on January 1, 1992, after years of community efforts.
Formerly "Napa Junction": Before its incorporation and name change, the area was previously known as Napa Junction.
Environmental Leader: American Canyon prides itself on its environmental sustainability initiatives. It was the first city in Napa County to ban new gas stations and required solar panels on new home construction before it was mandated by state law.
Zero Water Footprint Policy: The city adopted a "Zero Water Footprint" policy, meaning all new developments must implement water-saving practices to balance their additional potable water
🌿 2. 1pm 🌊Waterfall Hike 🥾Sugarloaf Ridge State Park
Sugarloaf Ridge State Park contains the headwaters of Sonoma Creek. It runs through gorge and canyon, across the meadow floor, beneath scenic rock outcroppings, and is surrounded at times by redwoods and ferns.
A 25-foot waterfall flows after the winter rains. There is a self-guided nature trail along Sonoma Creek that starts near the picnic area. Dogs must be on a leash under your control at all times. Dogs are not allowed on trails. Dogs must be in a tent, camper or enclosed vehicle during the night.
Within the oak woodland and chaparral, the park has 25 miles of trails for hiking and horseback riding.
Deer, gray foxes, the occasional bobcat and coyote can be seen in the park. In spring, wildflowers provide a colorful palette across the green hills. Note that all plants and wildlife within the park are protected. Collecting or destroying anything in the park, including mushrooms, is prohibited.
On a clear day, visitors can see views of the Sierra Nevada and the Golden Gate bridge from the 2729-foot summit of Bald Mountain.
Canyon and Pony Gate Loop:
This loop trail takes you through peaceful forest and leads to a beautiful waterfall. For the best viewing experience, the waterfall is strongest after heavy rain or in spring. The trail can be muddy, so please bring sturdy footwear.

Elevation Gain: 652 ft
Route: Loop
Dogs: Not allowed
Optional: Additional 3-mile hike for those who want more miles
