Travel journalism is hard work and selling your stories can be equally as tough. For myself, developing a unique story angle and writing my piece is the easy part. Selling your articles requires a marketing strategy.

I have learned over the years that by creating a marketing plan for yourself is the best way to sell your stories. For success you need to:

- research various regional and national print and online publications

- find an unique story angle that fits the publication

- craft a persuasive pitch letter

For my session, I will provide you with details on how to research publications, find the right story angle and craft a compelling pitch letter.
