Welcome! Beat the Blues exists to provide nature hikes, campfire gatherings, weekend adventures, group travel, & other unique events for those who want to have new experiences and meet similar positive minded people doing the same.
I’m Michael. A few years back I found myself feeling isolated & trapped indoors during the pandemic while suffering the blow of a significant relationship end. Taking extreme accountability, I decided to take a hard look at myself and the direction of my life. I quickly became passionate about meditation, fitness, personal growth, and other wellness practices. As a result, I discovered the importance of nature for my wellbeing, as well as pushing the limits of my comfort zone. This has led to interests in primitive camping, backpacking, and traveling to serene locations all over the country.
My desire is to bring people together to live fearlessly and authentic. We will provide fun & adventurous activities that push self-limitations, promote mindfulness, and bring us in touch with our true selves in order to raise our vibe for the greatest good. So, if you're feeling apprehensive about joining us, rest assured you will meet a wonderful, welcoming group of diversified participants that will quickly make you feel right at home!
Please join our community initiative of beating the blues and raising inner wellness at our next event or message me with any questions you may have!

See all- BTB Biking: May Bike Ride - Connellsville To Ohiopyle (38 Miles Total)Parking Behind Supermarket in Connellsville, Connellsville, PA
Welcome to BTB Biking. Join Host Christa and Chris on our monthly ride from Connellsvile PA to Ohiopyle. This ride will be on the GAP trail (Great Allegheny Passage) and start in Connellsvile where we will ride about 18 miles into Ohiopyle. We will take a break there at the Meadow Run Falls area (natural waterslides) before we head back. Note: while this ride is mostly flat, the ride into Ohiopyle will have about a consistent 1-2% grade up. The good news is when we ride back, we will have a 1-2% grade down. There will be no coasting on the way there - its all uphill. To view the ride, click here
This ride was planned based on your feedback from the last ride we cancelled due to rain. Thank you for submitting!
The ride will start at the Stewart's Crossing Campground & Adirondack Shelters, which is located in Connellsville behind a supermarket. We will ride through Connellsville, and then hit the GAP trail. We will pass a variety of bridges and waterfalls along the way. As we get close to Ohiopyle, we will take a quick pause to visit Sugar Run Falls. The ride will be on crushed gravel, so most bikes will be fine, except those road bikes with Skinny tires.
Notes for this ride:
1. Wear a helmet!
2. Bring Water. If only bringing one bottle, please fill up in Ohiopyle! Hydration is your friend.
3. Pace: Please be prepared to keep a pace of 10-12 mph. While this is a causal ride, you should be able to bike at this pace for an extended period of time (2 hours before we break).
4. Please make sure your bike is in good working order (Chain lubed, tires filled, a yearly tune up isn't a bad idea before riding 38 miles in the middle of nowhere :)
5. Please adhere to basic riding etiquette - Pass others on left, call out if passing, warn others if you see debris.
6. Have fun! This is an epic ride.
