Big Blue Table

Hello all,

This is not a board gaming event but is something that I, Martin, and Sam have put together to talk about Mental Health and the services that are available out there. If you are someone who has been thinking about seeking Mental Health services or not sure where to start, please come on down and there might be someone who comes along that can direct you.

We had created this event in 2024 and have been creating events every 3 months to keep people feeling safe in an environment to express themselves freely. There are others out there that will be speaking at the event, non formally, about their Mental Health journey. They may speak about what has helped them out and services they continue to use.
Everyone is different and following their own path and have their own struggles. Please be respectful for those who want to share and those who might not want to share their experiences.

More about this event:

- There will be snacks available, pizza is being ordered. If you wish to cook or bake something and want to bring it in, please do so but it is not a prerequisite. I have already ordered a small cake and welcome more desserts if that is what you wish to bring. Let me know if there is something specific you want to bring or have dietary requirements and we can see what we can help with.

- There are people who have expressed to me about speaking to others about their own journey in hopes to inspire others to seek their own mental health journey.

- There is a fundraising aspect to this event as well BUT I will not be forcing anyone to do so either before, during or after the event. It will only be there for those who can and want to do so. There is a tax deduction for those who donate over $2 and there will be QR Codes printed if you want to donate on the night. All money that is being donated will be going to Beyond Blue and will be helping them hire Counsellors and provide resources for those who need it.
