For beginners! Learn and practice Japanese through games and activities in a fun and friendly environment.
We welcome those who are brand new to Japanese (only a few words), up until beginner (N4 level)*. Your English should also be native or near-native as well, since you will also teach English to your new Japanese friends! 🇨🇦 x 🇯🇵
🍂 FALL SEASON ONLY🍂 We are looking for non-beginners (N3 and above) who are registered for the JLPT exam this December to participate in this group as leaders - teaching others and helping to build the community. If this is you, you may attend this group once as a trial and then we can discuss further.

🍂 JLPT🍂
The JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) is a once-per-year (in Toronto) Japanese exam that takes place in December. There are 5 levels, from N5 being the easiest to N1 being the hardest. Registration is open from September 2~ 26th. More information will be available at the event.
Waitlist:
We are trying to get as close to 1:1 or 2:2 as possible, so please wait on the waitlist for a spot to open up. We encourage new members to join us. Therefore we may give priority to new people, test takers, leaders and volunteers etc. Thanks for understanding.
Read this far? Thanks! Hope to see you at our event!
*N5 and N4 are grades from the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test). N5 and N4 are considered beginner, N3 intermediate, and N2 and N1 are advanced.
