Belay Buddies is a community for anyone in the Reno area who loves climbing or wants to give it a try. Whether you’re brand new and curious, or an experienced climber looking for belay partners, you’ll find a friendly, supportive group here.
We meet at Mesa Rim Reno for indoor climbing about once a month. Safety, encouragement, and good vibes are at the heart of what we do — because the best climbs are shared with friends.
Join us if you want to:

- Learn from others and share your own beta
- Build friendships on and off the wall
All skill levels are welcome. If you don't have a belay license, no worries--we will be happy to belay you on your first climbs. Just bring your stoke, your belay buddy spirit, and let’s climb together!

Mesa Rim Climbing & Fitness, 970 Harvard Way, Reno, NV, USBelay Buddies is back for another easygoing night of climbing at Mesa Rim Reno. If you’re looking for a relaxed space to climb, meet people, and enjoy some time on the wall without pressure, this is it.
Come climb a little or a lot. Take breaks. Chat between routes. Meet potential climbing partners. Whether you’re brand new or have been climbing for years, you’re welcome here.
This isn’t a class or a competition — just a friendly group sharing the gym for the evening.
What We’ll Do
We’ll climb together, rotate partners as needed, and keep things supportive. New climbers are absolutely welcome, and we’re happy to belay first-timers and help you get comfortable.
