Beginners leisurely ride 9 miles to Tilehurst via Calcot - from Prospect Park

Hello Belles

Meet at 9.50 to leave at 10am. From Prospect Park we'll head up to Ikea via Calcot, where we will have our only significant hill of the ride - up into Tilehurst. Then along City Road to The Triangle, for a break in The Switch Cafe.

Then just a couple of miles back to Prospect Park through Tilehurst. Back at the Park for 12.30pm.

The pace will be casual. Hybrid and mountain bikes are suitable due to the off road sections. The hill behind Ikea is quite steep and we usually walk the last part of it.

I do have one or two cycles to lend, please contact me if you would like to borrow one. (If you are a complete beginner though, this isn't a suitable ride - please do message me if you want more of a absolute beginners ride. )

There is free parking in the park car park next to where we are meeting.
