Introduction to JavaScript and how to develop for the web

JavaScript is the most used language today, and there is no escaping it. In this workshop we'll learn the basics of the language and also look at how the web works and how we work with web development on a daily basis.

We'll look the request/response model, how to use the browser developer tools to debug code and inspect traffic.

The workshop will be held at Høyteknologisenteret. Pizza will be served at 17:00, followed by a short presentation before we get hands on with exercises.

We will order food with the attendance list in mind, so we highly appreciate if you RVSP, so that we can order the order the correct amount of food :-)

Preparation:

• Bring a working laptop!
• Remember to bring a charger
• Install Google Chrome and Visual Studio Code
• It's helpful if you have Git installed and know some basics. However, It's not a requirement.
