The original Ingraham trail Highway was opened in 1922. You could drive on it all the way to Flamingo. We will walk on part of this original trail.
It is a 6 mile hike, medium difficulty, Meet at Cole Visitor Center parking lot at 9:30am. We will car pool together at 10:00am to Royal Palm . There are bathrooms available both at Cole and Royal Palm. We will hike the Old Ingraham Trail highway from Royal Palm. We will stop for lunch during the hike. Bring buy spray, sunblock, lunch, 2 bottles of water and a hat. Hiking poles and sturdy shoes are recommended. You can confirm if you plan to attend this hike to: bonnie.rubel@aol.com.
