Ancient history this month and with the Terracotta Warriors (dating from the Qin dynasty) in town, we had better have a look at some of the early Chinese dynasties.
According to Google AI:
"The period in Chinese history from 221 BC to 220 AD was defined by the unification of China under the Qin Dynasty (221–206 BC), marked by centralized rule and significant reforms like standardizing weights and measures, and the subsequent flourishing of the Han Dynasty (206 BC–220 AD), a longer imperial era known for the Silk Road, Confucianism's rise, technological advancements such as paper, and a lasting cultural and governmental influence on China's future."
The meetup will focus on this period and the Qin and Han dynasties.
***Rather than a presentation or lecture, the idea will be for attendees to do their own prior research which they can then contribute with at the event. You are also welcome to attend of course without researching or having anything to share.***
