Wyong to Tuggerah via Budgewoi & The Entrance.

Tuggerah & Budgewoi Lakes loop. Starting at Wyong station & finishing at Tuggerah station going via Budgewoi & the Entrance.
Drive or catch the 7.48 am train from central (or Stathfield at 8.00am) Scheduled to arrive Wyong at 9 38 am.
For approx 9.45 am start.

Ride is approx 70 klms. Flat to start then some short hills, then gentle undulations then flat again. About 30% on-road riding (mostly suburban sts) 70% on shared paths. Start from eastern side of Wyong station, go in a clockwise direction around Tuggerah lake to gorokan the keep heading north around Bulgewoi Lake, then south along good paths to The Entrance.

An unhurried ride to enjoy the day. Coffee at Budgewoi or canton beach and lunch at a choice of venues at The Entrance. One busy road crossing to get on The Entrance bridge.

For keen swimmers there's an opportunity to swim at the Entrance.

We continue along the Lake side & through some suburban streets for a late afternoon train back from Tuggerah. FYI Tuggerah is a shortish ride to Wyong station if you left your car parked there.

All the usual stuff - wear a helmet, bring water. Need a bike in good order with spare tube, a pump, etc. Definitely need sun-block & suggest a hat for rest stops.

Ring your bell or call when passing pedestrians. Please give plenty of room and moderate or slow speed when passing the many walkers we will probably encounter.
Pull off the path when we stop for rests, etc. so others can get by easily.

NB there is currently some nuisance flooding on the Central Coast. I will monitor conditions as event approaches. Should train services be disrupted or flooding be a problem then an alternative ride in Sydney will be offered.
