4 BRIDGES RIDE

Details
Come and explore beautiful Hunters Hill, crossing 4 bridges as you ride. One is the Gladesville Bridge which, when completed in 1964, was the longest single span concrete arch ever constructed.
But what are the other three….?
MEET on the ramp directly outside Rozelle Bay Light Rail tram stop on The Crescent side – please don’t block other cyclists or walkers.
Coffee will be near end of ride at The Deckhouse, Woolwich Dock.
We will then take the F8 ferry from Woolwich back to Balmain, then cycle back to our starting point near Rozelle Parklands.
DISTANCE approx. 30 km – medium pace, some hills. Mix of cycle paths and roads.
WHAT TO BRING :
Bike in good mechanical order, helmet, water, spare inner tube(s) and pump in case of puncture.
OPAL card for Ferry
E-BIKES ON TRAINS : if arriving by train, please note that so far a permanent ban has not been imposed. Some stations may try and prevent you from boarding with an e-bike but there is no legal basis for this. Ferries should not be a problem as riders are asked to remain outside with their bike.
Riders must be financial for this year. First time riders may have a trial ride with us before joining ($10 a year) - please contact ride leader before attending.
WEATHER: Ride will be cancelled if there is significant rain on the morning. Monitor MeeetUp. Call Ride Leader if unsure.
