CHANGE OF PLANS. Due to rain there is no bike ride from Summer Hill. We will meet up at Ashfield council chambers instead as above.

FYI Carry your helmets into the meeting so the councillors can see the bike users attending.

The proposed Lilyfield separated bike paths will extend from the new park to the Hawthorn canal. There is opposition brewing from locals mainly concerned about car parking.
On Tuesday 19th May, Council will vote on whether to allow the Lilyfield Road Cycleway to proceed to the detailed design phase of the project.
There are also motions relating to fixing the worst parts of the Carrington Road cycleway, and working with Bike Marrickville to offer valet bike parking at major events.
FYI Opposition to the Lilyfield Rd cycleway is building. So, to ensure this connection from the Greenway to Rozelle parklands is built, we need to show up in numbers to the meeting itself, and speak in favour. This is especially important for Lilyfield Road, which we are confident 10 people will come and fight against. We need to outnumber them.
