Doonside to Guildford via Nurragingy Reserve, M7 Cycleway, Prospect Reservoir
Details
Starting from Doonside Station we'll cycle through the nearby Nurragingy Reserve and the Western Sydney Parklands cycle path to join the M7 path. We will branch off it to head to Prospect Reservoir, and head to Guildford via the old Canal path to Guildford Station, where the train home will be available
Note: trackwork this weekend means trains do not stop on the T2 inner western line between Redfern and Burwood. Trains to Doonside will stop at Central, Redfern, Burwood, Strathfield and further west. Trackwork on the T1 southwestern line means trains from Guildford will run but also do not stop at these inner west stations. A change from T2 to T1 at either Lidcombe or Harris Park (depending on time) will get us home. Trains also not stopping on City Circle Stations. Central and Redfern still operate
Meet in Cross Street Doonside near the station. Train leaves Central at 8.43 am from Platform 6, arriving 9.31 at Doonside for a quick start, or catch an earlier one if you prefer to take your time.
The riding time is approximately 2 hours for about 35km. Grades are mostly easy.
Ensure your bike is in good working order.
Bring a helmet, water, sunscreen and a spare tube.
