Jacarandas at Neutral Bay

Meet at the gazebo in Pioneers Memorial Park in Leichhardt at 9.50 am for a 10 am start for this sedate approx 22 klm meander.

We'll head over the Anzac Bridge, over the Harbour Bridge, onto the eastern side of Milsons Point station, down Clark Rd, right into McDougall St to experience this avenue of Jacarandas. We'll park the bikes in Milson park to take our time on foot under the purple canopy.

After revelling in the luxurious lilac we'll meander along Elamanga Ave to the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron, onto Kirribilli Ave past Kirribilli and Admiralty Houses to Lady Gowrie lookout. Onto Bradfield Park, up Alfred St to Cliff & Lavender Sts, into Harbour View Cr. Park the bikes to explore Wendy Whitelys secret garden. Back over the bridge for a drink or lunch at the Lord Nelson Hotel. After a break we'll head back to the starting point at Leichhardt.

Bring a helmet and tools to repair a flat tyre. Water, sunblock, Opal card if you want to bail out at Milsons Point station. Please decline asap in MeetUp if you can’t attend and stay away if feeling unwell.
This will be a sedate wander. Most streets are quiet but there will be some busy but low speed streets. There are hills and descents -need good brakes.
