Take a stroll with Black Philadelphia!
Join the crew as we stroll along the picturesque Centennial Loop in West Fairmount Park. If you've ever been near the Please Touch Museum or the Horticulture Center, you know how pretty this area is. We'll explore this 3.1-mile partially paved loop trail, which should take an hour and some change to complete.
Agenda - Take Note!
8:45 a.m. - Meet and Greet on the front steps of the museum
9:00 a.m. - WE ARE LEAVING! Not kidding...don't miss us!
10:15 a.m. - End of stroll (approximately)
THIS EVENT IS CONTINGENT UPON THE WEATHER & WILL ONLY BE CANCELED SHOULD THERE BE LIGHTNING OR ICE.
DETAILS
This is a nice way to recharge and a great event to talk to and get to know other members.
Bring a bottle of water and maybe a hat (there isn't a lot of tree cover). Bug spray & sunscreen are also helpful, but not usually necessary. Bring your EpiPen or inhaler too (better safe than sorry).
This is a fairly quiet area that is frequented by the occasional jogger or walker. Just be aware of your surroundings.
Plenty of free on-street parking.
