Get better at wine by tasting it blind. There are a lot of wine tasting meetups in the area, but I haven't found any yet that focus on improving at guessing what a wine is without seeing the bottle.

Hi wine friends ! We are going to pause our normal blind tasting routine and head out to the Virginia wineries! Vineyard Voyages runs an all day trip to three great vineyards in Loudon County. Let's relax on the way out to the countryside and let them handle the driving and logistics !
How to RSVP
Tickets must be purchased from Vineyard Voyages here. Only RSVP’ing to this Meetup will not secure you a spot. Please RSVP here only after you have purchased a ticket from Vineyard Voyages here.Itinerary
- 9:30 am Meet at the West Falls Church Metro Station (Kiss & Ride Lot, Orange Line). Free parking is available in the garage and outdoor lot.
- 10:00 am: Board the bus and meet your guide.
- 10:45 am: Arrive in Leesburg, VA.
- 11:30 am – 4:45 pm: Visit Three Loudoun County wineries: Otium Cellars, Domaine Fourtier Vineyards, and Kalero Vineyard (wineries may change).
- 5:00 pm: Brief stop in Leesburg
- 6:00 pm: Arrival at West Falls Church Metro Station.
What’s Included
- Round-trip bus with a wine guide
- Visits to the three wineries.
- Discounts and extras at each winery (e.g., bonus tastings, bottle discounts)
- Games and music during the ride
- Please note lunch is not included but snacks and more hearty fare will be available for purchase. Outside food is permitted at some wineries.
Ticket Options
- Connoisseur Tour: (tasting or flight at each winery) $159.99
- Explorer Tour (pay for tastings as you go) $89.99
Note: the combined a la carte tasting fee for the three wineries is over $70, so if you plan to sample at all three locations, then the Connoisseur ticket is the best value.
Event Details
- Group Size: Up to 27 guests (that’s the whole bus, not just us Meetup Group members, so get your tickets before it sells out!)
- Please bring your ID (must be age 21+) and a payment method for additional wine or food purchases
