We will meet on Skyline Drive at Timber Hollow Overlook pull-out - milepost 43 - GPS 38.57480, -78.38404 at 9:00am. You might need National Park Pass or pay fee at entrance station to attend if Park is re-opened. Currently no charges for admittance.
Please fully intend to come if you sign up for this hike. If you then need to cancel please do so well in advance so others on waitlist have plenty of notice.
Hike length: 5.5 miles
Elevation gain: 1260ft
Pace: approx 2 mph
Dogs: okay
What to Bring: Make sure your emergency contact information is in your pack. Bring your park pass (or pay the fee), hiking poles (strongly recommended), water, electrolytes, sunscreen, insect repellent, and snacks. Dress for the weather, including hiking boots/shoes, layers, and emergency rain gear as needed.
Rehydration in Sperryville according to the leanings of the group. I’m flexible.
