Garden City, Idaho – 10/7/2025 – The boots are polished, the music is cranked, and the dance floor is calling! Northwest Dance Fest, Idaho’s original country dance convention, is back and bigger than ever, bringing dancers from across the Northwest together for a weekend of community, growth, and toe-stompin’ fun.
The much-anticipated Northwest Dance Fest 2025 is returning to The Farm in Garden City from October 17th to 19th, promising an unforgettable celebration of country dance culture. Now in its 4th year, the festival will bring the best of country swing, line dance, two-step, and West Coast swing, offering workshops, social dances, and performances led by nationally recognized instructors and local talent alike. Whether you are brand new to dance or a seasoned pro, Northwest Dance Fest has something for everyone.
Creators of NWDF, Elise Lorcher and Troy DeRosier founded the mission based upon Community, Growth, and Connection through representation of highlighting and showcasing different dance regions around the Northwest. "Northwest Dance Fest provides a stage for regional dance leaders to connect with new communities," states Lorcher, “This convention isn’t just about learning steps — it’s about building community, celebrating country roots, and creating memories on the dance floor, says DeRosier.
Fest Highlights:

• Headline Featuring YouTube line dance influencers Phil of Boot Scootin’ and Dirt Road Dancing
• Workshops & Masterclasses: Open to dancers of all levels, taught by multiple UCDC Country Dance Champions: Kat Painter, Robert & Brigette Campos, and Thomas & Jennifer Babione
• Community Events: Thursday, October 16th, Idaho State Fair Championship 7pm.
• Choreographers Showcase: Opening Ceremonies 7pm Friday and Saturday
