- Author Reading: Shavaun Scott, Nightbird, in Conversation with Lisa ToddBOLD Coffee & Books, Portland, OR
BOLD is thrilled to host an author reading with Shavaun Scott, author of Nightbird, in Conversation with writer Lisa Todd.
Nightbird delves unflinchingly into the complex dynamics of revenge suicide in the context of abusive relationships. The author explores her own missteps, history, and self-blame as well as the process of healing. It is a testament to the idea that we are all in the process of ‘re-authoring our lives’ as the author goes through her own transformation.
Shavaun Scott has been a psychotherapist for over 30 years. She specializes in trauma recovery.
Lisa Todd writes short stories and literary memoir. A librarian with a lifelong love of books and information, Lisa lives in Beaverton with her husband, son, and two cats. Her work has been published in Oregon Library Association Quarterly, The Manifest-Station, Portland Metrozine, and Oregon English Journal.
