Throughout 2026, Bookbinding Club will continue to be on the 2nd Friday of the month, from 10am until 12noon, casual drop-in. All are welcome!

August's Bookbinding Club will be held on Friday 14 August 2026.

TOPIC: make a postcard album, with a cleverly engineered concertina system and a traditionally crafted hardcover casing (cover).
All the required materials/templates have been selected, designed, measured, pre-tested, and lasercut ready for you to learn/craft the assembly of the album.
You will need to bring 7 x postcards (or A6 pieces of cardstock) and your usual tools/equipment.

Cost $40
All materials provided.

Please bring your usual papercrafting tool kit.

For regular Bookbinding Club participants:

If you could all please bring along a Show & Tell item (or several!) of something you've been working on, or something of interest to share with the group, that'd be swell :)

One final note:

These meetups are a nice opportunity to BYO a bookbinding project to work on (or ask questions about), and maybe even share some of your ideas and plans for projects you'd like to work on this year. Got a particular project or bookbinding technique you'd like to get help with? - just let me know! I'm keen to hear what members would like to see covered in Bookbinding Club :)

We meet in the front workshop space at Michelle's Bindery studio - The Nest Creative Spaces warehouse building at 31 Ferry Rd, West End.

Hope to see you there,

Michelle
