OpenCode: An introduction to CLI-based AI tools
Details
Please RSVP ahead of time and bring a government-issued ID for check-in.
As AI coding assistants like Cursor and Copilot go mainstream, a new wave of command-line tools is redefining how developers interact with code. In this session, we’ll dive into OpenCode, a modern CLI interface for conversational coding.
You’ll see how CLI tools fit into real developer workflows, how to configure agents and personas and run them in parallel, and how to use them for advanced spec writing, code exploration, and feature development, all from your terminal.
We’ll wrap up with a live demo building a small feature directly from the command line.
Participants are encouraged to bring their laptops and pre-install OpenCode, connecting it to their favorite LLM. GitHub Copilot is supported, as are other major model providers.
