They've gotten a few inches since last week. Hopefully more today (Sun), so lets hit it! 9:15 start on the front, head to the back about 10. As usual, check the event at 7am or after before heading up.

Welcome to the 5th season of Eldo Wednesday! Some changes this year. I still plan to hold several of these events this season, but maybe not every week. You'll need to check each week to see if an event is scheduled. Also, if the weather is predicted to be miserable (Eldo wind!) or not very many people are signed up, I may cancel an existing event. Please check the status of the event prior to heading up to Eldora.

We'll meet on the lodge side of the Alpenglow lift chutes starting at 9:15. I'll ski the front side until 10:00, stopping at the lodge side entrance to the lift for a minute or two after every run. I'll usually be wearing a bright blue Northface jacket, black helmet, black Volkl Kendo skis. Look for me. If you definitely want to meet up with the group for morning skiing, you need to be there prior to 10am. Soon after 10am we will likely head to the back to ski. I won't be checking texts or Meetup posts during this time - I'll be focused on having fun skiing! Plus cell access on the mountain is very spotty at best. We'll meet for lunch about 11:45 at the picnic tables in front of the lodge if the weather is nice, inside (usually up in the bar) if it's cold or windy. Après-ski tailgate in the parking lot around 2:30 pm! Bring some beverages, maybe some munchies, and meet at my vehicle (Grey Toyota 4Runner, ZOE - 157). We'll hang and socialize for a bit. I'll have stuff for instant coffee and cocoa - including some delicious additives. Bring a hot cup if you want to participate in these libations.

The purpose of this event is to get ski enthusiasts together at the same time on the same mountain to ski or ride. There will be no mountain tours, waiting around for people to show up, and I will make no attempt to keep people together on the mountain. It will be what you make it. Find new ski buddies. Have fun! It's all up to you.

If you want to get or offer a ride up to the resort, I would encourage you to post in comments or DM specific people to make arrangements. To park up front in the HOV lot, you will need to have 3 people in your car.

Hope to see you up at Eldora!
