What we’re about
The GenZ FrenZ mission is to encourage 18-29-year-olds to stay abreast of key issues and provide grassroots opportunities to effect change in local New Jersey politics. We do this through promoting webinars, forums, rallies, fundraisers, meet and greets, municipal meetings, town halls, debates, voter registration drives, text/phone/postcard banks, and door-to-door canvassing (with a buddy of course). We may be based out of Bridgewater, NJ, but we are receptive to any grassroots movement that needs a little Gen-Zing!
GenZ is one of the largest voting blocs of all generations to date totaling almost 70 million eligible voters (about 20% of the U.S. population) and growing every year. GenZ is the most highly educated and diverse generation of all time and is also most impacted by the issues that our elected officials have been unable to resolve since before 9/11 (that's 2001 for those too young to remember) such as reproductive freedom, mental health care, affordability, student loans, LGBTQ+ rights, social justice reform and common sense gun laws.
Fortunately, GenZ's size gives them the power to influence and their time to do so is NOW as major changes are sweeping across our nation under a second Trump term. Under the new administration, DEI policies are under attack and the elimination of thousands of federal jobs will add even more competition for GenZ graduates looking for work. Newly imposed Trump tariffs, lingering inflation and mass deportations are making economists ring the recession warning bell once again.
2025 is an CRITICAL election year for New Jersey as well with the Governorship on the line. Will this be the year New Jersey turns RED? Not under our watch. There's too much at stake. It's time for GenZ to rise up, get informed, and fight! GenZ has the POWER to PROTECT OUR DEMOCRACY by helping elect competent local, state, and federal officials -- or better yet run for office yourself!
GenZ FrenZ is a space where your opinion matters, your voice is heard, and your VOTE counts! PLEASE JOIN US (with a friend even better) and STAY INFORMED!!!
FYI to get discounted and sometimes free admission to democratic events in Somerset County, you can join Club Blue for $30/mo. All money goes to supporting the Somerset County Democratic Committee and its local democratic candidates.
I'll be sure to note which events are covered by membership in Club Blue.

- A Day of Action to Defend Social SecurityNeeds location
RSVP HERE and to receive any location updates
Join us for Protect Our Checks, a grassroots day of action at a local social security office (245 US-22 Bridgewater, NJ 08807) demanding that Congress keep Social Security strong and accessible. We’ll uplift the stories of those who depend on it, call out those putting it at risk, and make it clear: Social Security is not negotiable.Trump and the Republicans in Congress jeopardized the Social Security system by cutting staff and increasing budget deficits. They are taking health insurance and nutrition assistance away from millions of Americans, and making it more difficult to access because less staff leads to longer wait times.
Representative Tom Kean has voted for these changes which will harm many of us in CD7. Demand that Kean and the rest of congress restore funding and the administration improves Social Security’s customer service.
Bring your signs and bring your voices. It’s time to choose people over profit.
