Details
Please note new venue for this event: this is our first event at the Eagle Labs' new digs on the 5fth floor at Platf9rm at Tower point, Brighton, You will need to be let into the building so do make sure to arrive early, as there will be no one downstairs to let you in after 18:05.
We are kicking the new year off with a set of talks on AI and data science.
Schedule
1. Housekeeping
2. Sulaiman Ahmed, ML Engineer, Gardin: Solving Agriculture with Technology: Making plant growth measurable
Modern agriculture faces a fundamental challenge: limited resources and increasingly expensive energy. Growers are under pressure to produce more food using less water, less power, and fewer inputs, all while maintaining high yield and standard quality over time. In this short presentation, I'm going to explore how measuring a few metrics effectively from the glasshouse can help address this challenge. I will also present some of the basic concepts in plant growth, some of the challenges that face growers, and how we solve them using data-driven methods.
3. Dr. David Kane, Data Engineer The State of AI
A timely review on the state of AI, from capex spend to AI benchmarks and the-end-of-linear-scaling?
The Brighton data forum is sponsored by Rittman Analytics and supported by Silicon Brighton.
