Straddie: Whales, Walking and Gelato

This day outing starts on the walk-on ferry from Cleveland at 7am. Once on the island we will bus to Point Lookout to start the Gorge Walk, which is a 1.6km Walk through the beautiful North Gorge.
After this we will stop for a lunch picnic and enjoy the magnificent views at Point Lookout Please bring a shareable plate of picnic food. (If you prefer there is Fish and Chips, Burgers etc available at the Point.) . At this time of year we have a high chance of watching whales migrate by really close to the shoreline, as well as usually seeing Dolphins and Sea Turtles.
We will then do a wander along the coastline for a couple of kilometres before making our way back via bus to the ferry.
Good walking shoes are a must, as well as water, and binoculars and a camera are good to bring along too.
Passenger Ferry cost $23 return per person, and the bus travel is on Brisbane's 50c fare.
