What we’re about
Welcome to the Brisbane Classical and Chamber Music Meetup Group, dedicated to connecting classical music enthusiasts in Brisbane. Our focus is smaller concerts at venues around the city, supporting local artists and meeting people who love music. We will generally meet after a concert and go to a cafe or restaurant to socialise. Join us to discover new artists, expand your musical knowledge, and meet people.

See all- Winter Warmers : Coffee and CakeMorningside School of Arts Hall, Morningside
In this concert featuring JS Bach Coffee Cantata the Bach Society of Queensland invites you to join us for a sit-down afternoon tea, served with a side of music from the sublime to the ridiculous.
Although classified as a cantata, it is essentially a miniature comic opera. In a satirical commentary, the cantata amusingly tells of an addiction to coffee. So not a regular Bach cantata!
Tickets: Adult $50, Concession $45, Student $25, Children free

# MY FATHERLAND Metro Series 2
###### The Old Museum Concert Hall 480 Gregory Terrace, Bowen Hills, 4029
Ma Vlast (My Fatherland) and Sibelius’s Second Symphony come together as a celebration of far-off lands.
Opening with the harpsong of the mythic bard Lumír, Prague’s castle, Vysehrad, looks down on the river Vltava (or Moldau) in Smetana’s ode to his native land of Bohemia. Soloist Emily Granger then takes centre stage for the elegant and refined Morceau de Concert by Saint-Saens, in which the harp luxuriates in true French style.
Sibelius’s achingly beautiful Symphony No. 2 is, in his own words, a “confession of the soul”. The work opens with a simple three-note motif, and ends with a power and majesty that has grown from the roots of what came before.
