The BCPO is excited to present our first concert program for 2026 entitled - Ticket to the World. Take your seats, strap in and relax as we take you on a musical journey around the world!
Firstly, the orchestra will visit the USA, featuring the American Marches Medley by Ronald Hanmer before heading south of the border for the Mexican Hat Dance, Jamaican Rumba and the exciting Cinco Salsa from Cuba.
Let's also enjoy the popular song Brazil before heading off to Britain for the lively Sailor’s Hornpipe, to Spain for Spanish Gypsy Dance and Russia, to hear Procession of the Nobles by Rimsky-Korsakov and finally the beautiful theme from Out of Africa by John Barry.
We will also make some quick stopovers in some famous cities with Cities of Song, one of Ronald Hanmer's unique arrangements. Our special guests will be Viva la Musica presenting a Celtic Celebration with Rhonda Davidson-Irwin and Friends. The orchestra will be conducted and compered by the wonderful Andrew Robinson.
