Gurdeep Singh and Pyae ‘Pete’ Maung – a pair of hospitality veterans who first bonded over a shared dream of opening a venue of their own – have turned that dream into reality with their brand-new all-day eatery Arbour at the base of the ABC Brisbane Centre. Boasting a contemporary aesthetic polished concrete floors, white marble and olive green accents, the venue cuts a chic figure, but also has a family-friendly atmosphere. Arbour’s offering encompasses breakfast, lunch and dinner, with the menu including everything from big brekkies and spiced-cauliflower tacos to lamb cutlets and grilled salmon. On the drinks front, the venue serves specialty coffee from Toby’s Estate as well as a great selection of wines, beers, and signature cocktails. With their extensive experience and commitment to quality, Gurdeep and Pete are eager to make Arbour a local institution in South Bank.

Sipping a coffee and chatting with friends at Deedot Coffee House, you could be in the backyard of a suburban home. Its white picket fence, potted plants and mismatched furniture carry a share house feel – if the tenants of said share house were exceptionally clean and stylish, that is.
Owners Jade and Darian Brennan envisioned it this way long before they opened Deedot in 2013 when the couple were still franchise managers. Then they realised they could do it themselves.
The result is a corner cafe with a strong following. It helps that prams, dogs and big groups are all easily accommodated, with a large outdoor area wrapping around the front of the cafe.

Citron brings a Mediterranean vibe to Brisbane's bayside with all-day breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks. A sibling for Bulimba's Melrose Restaurant and Darvella Patisserie, Citron is a breezy Mediterranean-inspired eatery perched on a leafy street corner in Wellington Point, featuring glossy white tiles, an arched doorway, and pops of bright yellow. Patrons can dine inside Citron with banquette seating provided along one wall, or al fresco on the footpath beneath the massive poinciana tree.
