When designing an online form, the way you write and structure your questions has a huge effect on whether people will be able to complete the form—or whether they will even want to.

The way the questions, hint text and error messages are written is critical to getting people to understand what you’re asking, trust you enough to provide the information you need, and recover from errors by themselves.

At the May meetup, Rory Daly will share his knowledge on writing for online services. Rory previously worked for Smart Service Queensland, and was responsible for designing and writing content that would engage Queenslanders on the qld.gov.au site.
