What we’re about
This group has been created to help gay men (born 1975 onwards) to make new friends within the community and to have fun shared experiences.
It is a very relaxed environment with activities to get you out meeting new people.
Most guys that do come to an event end up attending events regularly.
New to Brisbane or don’t have many gay friends?
Well then come hang out with us and expand your social circle.
There will at least be a couple of events planned every month – but usually more! – with events ranging from hiking and outdoor activities including camping, meals out, sports, movie nights, trivia, going to festivals etc.
While most events will be within the Brisbane area, we also have events on the Sunshine and Gold Coasts and/or a couple of hours drive from Brisbane.
Group rules:
If you fall within the age range for the group and your partner (or an accompanying friend does not) you can bring them as a guest.
Please be aware this is a group to create friendships within the gay community and is not a cruising or hook-up group.
If you’ve RSVP’d to an event, make sure you attend the event or change your RSVP prior to the event.
This is common courtesy and allows others who may have otherwise wished to attend to be able to do so, especially for events that have restricted numbers.
If you don’t update your RSVP and are a no show, there will be a two-strike warning before you're removed from the group.
Any member that doesn’t attend an event in a 12-month period will be removed from the group.
Other:
If you don’t have your own transport, members attending events usually carpool so getting a lift from a member should be able to be arranged.
When carpooling, we would suggest providing the driver with some fuel money, but this is to be arranged with the driver directly.
Please let one of the group organisers know if you have any event suggestions.
If anyone is interested in organising an event themselves, please let the organisers know.
The event will need to be approved to ensure the event is in line with the culture of the group.
You will also need to have been to a couple of events before being able to organise an event.
By signing up to this group, you release the group and any of the event organisers from any claims for loss, damage, or injury sustained while participating in any events listed in this group.
