Picnic - Brisbane Gay Social - Mt. Coot-Tha Botanic Gardens

Hey everyone, let's meet up for a picnic at Mt. Coot-Tha Botanic Gardens.

We'll meet at 11am at one of the picnic tables around the lagoon (I'll post the exact meeting spot on the day).

I'll bring along some picnic snacks to share with the group and invite each of you to also bring along something to share.

We'll also go for a walk around the gardens at some stage as there are several beautiful areas to explore including an amazing Japanese garden.

Public Transport Info:

Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens has a couple of public transport options:

• Bus 471 departs from the CBD at Ann St. at 10:17am (bus stop is across the road from Central Station near Anzac Square) and then is about 21 minutes to the Botanic Gardens where it stops near the Botanic Gardens entrance (this bus stop is located next to the planetarium).
• Toowong train station is within walking distance and is approximately a 25 minute walk down Sherwood Rd. and Dean st. to Anzac Park. At Anzac Park there is a pedestrian bridge that takes you across to the botanic gardens via the main Mt. Coot-Tha Rd. entrance.

Carpark Info:

There is a large carpark at the entrance to the botanic gardens + an additional carpark adjacent to the main one. Entry to the main carpark is from Mt. Coot-Tha Rd. and the additional carpark is accessible via Ada St.
