**ONLINE IoT Karaoke** - Design a crowdsourced disaster alert

Details
• Topic for this month
Sometimes a minute's warning is all you need. Be it fire, flood, hail or just a rain shower on your washing, what if we filled the city with (enough) weather sensors to track weather events in real time, and warn those in their path.
Let's consider how Brisbane's (admittedly modest) free-access LoraWAN network can be leveraged to support a cloud of weather-event sensors that provide an open event notification system.
This is not a presentation, rather a brainstorming session, or what we call "IoT Karaoke" where a problem (song) is proposed and we all suggest (sing) how to solve it.
• What we'll do
At our usual monthly evening events we begin with networking and a light dinner (finger foods, beer, wine and soft drinks), then presentations commence from 6:30.
At the current time Queensland OHS guidelines limit venue spaces to 1 person per four square meters, so it is not practical to hold our usual evening gatherings. We expect to resume physical events when these restrictions are relaxed.
Our Sunday open lab events are proceeding with a limit of 10 people, to suit our 45m2 space.
What would you like to learn about? Let us know!
Is there something you would like to share? We can offer you encouragement and guidance to present to the group.
