I have scheduled a start time so we can get there for the 3 main tributes. However following the opening at 11.20am there will be acts on the main stage all day.

If you would like to get there early and hold a good spot for us that would be much appreciated. If you want the event scheduled earlier, I am happy to do that.

Bluewater Festival celebrates the start of Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race with markets, food, beach party, fireworks, live entertainment and more.

The Bluewater Festival is an annual celebration of bayside living, in keeping with the start of the Gladstone Ports Corporation Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race, just off the sandy banks of Shorncliffe in Moreton Bay.

The Bluewater Festival continues to attract thousands of locals and visitors from all over Brisbane who come to watch the spectacle of the yachts and enjoy the atmosphere of their favourite festival by the bay. The festival focus is on entertainment, vibrancy and art.

The Sandgate and Bayside region will host a Ferris Wheel, to enjoy expansive views of our beautiful Bayside. From the race festivities through to rides, stallholder markets and more, there will be lots to see and do.

It is a beautiful location on the waterfront.

Organizer’s Notes:
1. This is an outdoor event. BYO chair or blanket, Also hat, sunscreen and water
2. Would you like a lift?
I haven’t been the best lately and I will need a hand walking the distance down there with a chair etc, etc.

Unless you are lucky, surrounding street parking can be a nightmare.

This meetup is scheduled for the tribute band entertainment listed above but there is a lot more happening that you can partake of if you wish.
